This website is your place to go for information about your English Reading and Speaking & Listening classes.

I will post all of the handouts from class here, so if you were absent or have lost something, you can find what you’re missing. I will also put extra study tips here from time to time.

Last but not least, this is a good place to ask questions about the class if you are feeling too shy to talk to me at school. You can also answer each other’s questions, of course, or share study materials.

  Do you mean more examples on the same essays, or examples of other essays? Actually — this is a hint — you don’t need to study the other questions (just 2, 3, & 5). But if more examples on the same questions would help you, I will put them up.

Dear Ms. Megan,

I am so sorry that I don’t have a chance to be in your class this term. My name is Supapid Vongsuvan, but ‘Mai’ might be easier for you to remember. I am in Australia now, for finding more experience in another country and of course for improving my English. I am studying at St. Ursula’s College Toowoomba, Queensland.

The school’s holiday here has already started about two weeks ago. I flew to Canberra to stay with my aunt during this holiday and I will fly back to Queensland again when the school begins term three on 21th, next week. A few days ago I talked with one of my friends through MSN. She told me that you have this website for students in m.3 to come in and looked for informations about what you have been teaching in the class. I found that it was really interesting for me if I can learn from this website during my holidays and maybe I will try to do the extra study during the school’s term too.

So I am just wondering that can you please tell me where should I start?, because there are so many information here (I am so excited!! >-<), and can you please let me know how you prefer me to contact you? Because I already got your e-mail. Thank you very much!!!

Thank you very much!!!! I have already begun to look at the information in the website today. It is really great!!! I love it very much!!! ^-^

Actually, I have already read ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ before I came here. So I didn’t bring it with me here, but I next week. When I go back to the school, I can try to find the book in the school’s library and maybe the other story books too. So I can study it with your website too. I will try to read and do all the information and exercise as many as I can, because I really want to learn what I have missed in Mater Dei. So your website is really helpful to me, I don’t know what to say like everyone else besides thank you very much again!!! I will ask you question if I have any problems after study from the website.

Ohhh, and yes. I am a Mater Dei student spending a term aboard, and I will go back and continue term two in the end of November. I forgot to tell you that when i go back to school. I am not allow to use this e-mail, but I will use my school e-mail. Which would be 8vongs@st-ursula.qld.edu.au but that time I will contact you.

  Sure, I’ll do that. There will not be any vocabulary questions from A Jealous Girlfriend or Bad Dreams, though, so the important thing is just for you to make sure you understand both stories. I suggest reading them again and looking up any words you don’t understand.
